Rates
APNSolutions, LLC has not increased the rates for appointments in over 8 years and will NEVER charge a fee for payments using a credit card. With the ever growing cost of healthcare for professional services, we have attempted to set reasonable fees based on our experience exploring the reimbursements offered by the various insurance companies and third party payers with whom your employers’ contract. Effective February 1, 2025, our rates will be increasing. By not accepting insurances, we are able to keep both our costs as well as your fees at a reasonable level by not having the additional overhead required to collect payments from the insurance companies. The session fees are posted next to the appointment types.
Potential for Reimbursement through your Insurance Company
Most commercial insurance companies allow for reimbursement for “Out of Network” healthcare appointments. Using your Simple Practice Portal under the BILLING tab, you can download a SUPERBILL, which has ALL the necessary information for your insurance to process your payment & apply it toward your deductible or to process reimbursement, typically at a percentage of the appointment fee, if your insurance allows. SUPERBILLS are published on the 1st of the month for ALL of the prior month’s appointments..
Please Note: SUPERBILLS are NOT the same as your session INVOICE which simple serves as the receipt of payment for your appointment.

Supervised Advanced Practice Nurse Intern Reduced Fee Schedule
Most years, Dr Laura Leahy, APN & her team will precept a Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nursing Intern (student). Dr Leahy & her team work closely with the intern to learn the role of the Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse and oversee ALL aspects of the interns training. Part of the training includes the intern developing the skills to provide all aspects of mental health care including providing therapy as well as medication management, when appropriate, to patients of all ages and diagnoses. Dr Leahy and her team work closely with you & the supervised intern to create a comprehensive treatment plan to guide you on your way to wellness & recovery! When working with a supervised APN Intern at APNSolutions, you receive the same care as if you were working directly and solely with one of our licensed/certified APNs, but we are able to offer a reduced rate. We appreciate your willingness to work with our interns in assisting them in gaining the experience to provide the comprehensive mental health care of the future!

Additional Information Related to Your Insurance
While APNSolutions is not contracted as a network provider for any insurances, many insurance companies offer “out-of-network” benefits after a deductible is met. We will provide you with a receipt which can be submitted to your insurer to meet that deductible and/or obtain reimbursement for our professional services.
If you wish to check with your insurance plan or employer to determine the potential for reimbursement, the following questions may be helpful:
- Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
- What is my annual deductible and has it been met?
- What is the allowable coverage amount per therapy session?
- What percentage/co-pay am I responsible to cover?
- Am I required to notify my insurance before starting therapy, even if I am paying out-of-pocket?
- Is approval or a referral required from my primary care practitioner?
Payment
Payment for sessions is due in full at the time of service. Initial Psychiatric Evaluations are prepaid to secure the date/time of your appointment.
Applicable fees will be assigned for any returned checks or credit card non-payments. Cash, checks, VENMO & PayPal (@APNSolutions) are accepted as forms of payment. We also accept most major credit cards & do NOT charge a processing fee, despite the credit card company charging 3-5% to process your transaction.
